Steve Portas
No two front-end developers approach coding the exact same way. For Steve, one of his secrets to success is in the process: When concentrating on the code, he enjoys listening to his favorite horror movies playing quietly in the background. And Steve can thank his grandmother–of all people–for inspiring this creative process.
Fittingly, Steve is unafraid to tackle the most daunting web development projects and eager to immerse himself in the latest technologies, trends and experiments within the world of code. He has over a decade of experience building and designing dozens of creative websites from scratch, for a wide range of clients. He moves seamlessly between languages like JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, PHP and TypeScript, and he has passion for web accessibility standards, cross-team collaboration and ensuring maximum client satisfaction.
Along with the natural peace that horror movies bring him, Steve is also fueled by his love for his wife and kids and spending as much time outside as possible. Whether that means a mountain biking adventure, taking a long walk in his adopted hometown of Walla Walla, Washington, or tending to his flock of chickens, Steve is always finding fresh sources of inspiration that would make his horror-loving grandmother proud.
