After working for years as an English teacher in South Korea and Spain, Jalena is now focusing her talents on digital strategy and UX research, as a master’s candidate at the first-ever Human-AI Interaction Research School in Toronto.

Her expertise includes conversational and voice user interfaces, UI/UX and survey design and user interviews—all of which are informed by her strategy, design and marketing skills. Regardless of the project, her superstrength is teamwide facilitation, genuine collaboration and a fierce curiosity about audiences and users, with an emphasis on marginalized communities.

It would be a challenge for Jalena to pick a favorite place or experience from her journeys. But sharing a Seoul sidewalk with a personal favorite KPOP megastar will be hard to top.
